What the party knows

  • Urwin knows about the brutish nature and terrible strength of the Baron’s henchman, Izek Strazni: “Many have tried to test his strength. All have failed.”
  • Recommended the players use flattery to get their way with the Baron, and also mentioned they might seek out Lady Fiona Wachter, a wealthy noblewoman who is an outspoken critic of the Vallakovich regime. She lives in a large manor on the north side of town, with her two sons and her daughter.

Personality

  • A kind fatherly figure, family man, and welcoming host with an ever-present twinkle in his eye

Where We’ve Seen Them

  • Session 09
  • Session 11
  • Session 13 — Served the party breakfast and heard about their investigation plans
  • Session 14 - Dinner and a Show (Neyavr 4, Evening) - When the party returned from dinner at Wachterhaus, they found the Blue Water Inn closed to non-guests with all shutters drawn. Urwin greeted them wearily, broom and dustpan in hand, cleaning up debris from broken furniture. He explained that Izek Strazni had come looking for Ireena Kolyana, demanding her location. When Urwin and Danika told him they didn’t know where she was, Izek tore the inn apart—ransacking guest rooms, breaking a table, two chairs, and a window. Izek also confiscated coins from their hidden chest (which Urwin described only as “some savings”). Urwin was relieved Ireena wasn’t present (she’d been at St. Andral’s Church) and apologized to the party for the damage to their rooms, which he and Danika had cleaned up. When the party indicated interest in dealing with Izek, Urwin warned them of Izek’s power and recommended seeking Lady Fiona Wachter’s help, noting he had “friends” who could provide intelligence about Izek’s schedule and movements.
  • Session 15 - Killing Izek (Neyavr 5, Morning) - Served breakfast to Ernst Larnak and the party. Attempted to help Arden Nalero determine if his old pouch contained coffee or ashes, but admitted he’d never encountered coffee before and couldn’t identify the contents.
