Who they are
The nephew and former shop assistant for Bildrath in the Village of Barovia, Parriwimple has now joined the party to help escort Ireena to safety.
What the party knows
- Recently lost his parents to one of Strahd’s nightly assaults on the village, and then lost his Uncle Bildrath during the final siege at the village’s eastern barricade in Session 04 - Defending the Eastern Barricade.
- Once lost a fight to a chicken (see Parriwimple’s Tale).
- Probably infected with lycanthropy after the fight in Session 08 - Hairy Bill, Bairy Hill, and a Coin for the Ladies Three.
Walk-up song
His walk-up song is Alabama Chicken
Personality
- To the world, Parriwimple is a cheerful, simple-minded young man. To those he trusts, Parriwimple is a thoughtful, insightful, yet grieving orphan, desperate to move past his parents’ deaths by proving useful to others.
Where we’ve seen them
- Session 15 - Killing Izek (Neyavr 5, Morning) - The party visited him at the refugee camp (recently relocated to Vallaki’s town square following Lady Wachter’s takeover). His werewolf bite from four days earlier hadn’t healed at all—the wound showed signs of corruption with grayish flesh and dark veins radiating outward. The party told him the truth: he’d been cursed with lycanthropy and would likely transform during the coming full moon. Parriwimple took the news with remarkable courage, promising to fight the curse’s violent urges while the party searched for a cure. He’d been keeping busy helping the refugees with manual labor—fetching and chopping firewood, digging postholes and latrines, hauling supplies, fighting off wolves at night, and playing with the camp’s children during the day. When Arden Nalero said he’d missed Parriwimple, Parriwimple clarified that he hadn’t missed the party—not because he didn’t care, but because he’d been so happy and busy helping people that he hadn’t had time to miss anyone. He mentioned the disappearance of two children from camp: Fyodor and Myrtle.
